For those who have less or no idea what My UPES - Online Student Portal of UPES is all about, read it (please) See, our college is a bit different from others where everything is in one campus only. UPES students live in different hostels, PGs etc and thats the reason interaction is very targeted. For example, if theres a football match going on and there are 5 friends watching the match, youll hear them say Wo jisne abhi pass kiya, mere hostel ka hai Red t-shirt waale mere hostel ke hain, infact wo mere club mein bhi hain. Yes, thats the truth, students are aware of people only from their hostel, branch and club/society. This is the consequence of not having every student in a single campus but we cant have a big campus on a hill, sad, isnt it? Thats why with a vision of engaging all the students online, I came up with this site: myupes.in The basic idea behind My UPES is that all of us spend atleast 2-3 hours on the internet daily. If you can give some 10-20 minutes to your college, will that harm? Currently at My UPES, weve a forum for all sorts of discussion, feel free to post your query or any news. Also, theres a classified section where you can buy/sell used stuffs. Were working on some more features like blog section for the bloggers, photography section for the photographers, club section which will feature all the details about any club of our college, hostel section featuring review, ratings and all the details about hostels in Dehradun where our students are staying etc etc. Plus, were looking for students who want to be a part of My UPES team.
