For those who may not be my personal friend on FB Im sharing this again here... As much as I dont want to post this (because Im not done yet!!!) I figured I should post my 6 month post-baby progress since Im always harping on my clients to let me post their progress. So here goes! (its so much harder when its myself and Im not in contest shape or anything lol. Deep breath...the before pics are by far the WORST pics Ive ever taken and the worst Ive ever looked period!) In terms of weight I got up to 177 lbs the day before I delivered (I let myself enjoy the holidays lol). The pic on the left I was about 156 lbs and Im currently 129 lbs. Some facts for those who are interested in what Ive been doing: -I started my diet about 4 weeks after Maddox was born -Ive been nursing since he was born and plan to go til either 9 months or a year (not sure yet) -I decided upfront that Maddoxs health would be my priority, meaning I wouldnt push too hard and risk my milk production. PLUS I was battling metabolic issues before I got pregnant and worked hard to fix it so I dont want to put that at risk either -I started at 1800 cals with VERY high carbs plus a free meal TWICE weekly (though more like 1900 cals with a few extras I add) - was able to progress on this until May, though I went to one free meal per week around March I think -May I dropped to 1700 cals and dropped the carbs to about 175g and upped healthy fats a bit (though truth be told its closer to 1800 cals with a few extras I add) -started weight training lightly at home 6 weeks post-delivery then at 3 months I started going to the gym regularly when I could take Maddox to the gym daycare. slowly worked my intensity up. Im still no where near as strong as I used to be, but getting there -weight training 3 or 4 days per week (try to do 4 but sometimes crazy schedule only allows for 3) doing a split of legs, shoulders, back/chest, and bis/tris -cardio - only doing 20 min LISS post-workout on days I lift. though I do walk outside from time to time Though Im no where near where I want to be yet, Im pleased with my progress given how slow and careful I decided to be. Ive still got plenty of room to make changes as needed without risking my metabolic health or Maddoxs nutritional needs. My next step when I plateau will be adding in HIIT a couple times per week and/or doing 20-30 min LISS daily. Im also hopeful that once Im done nursing my estrogen levels will drop back down and Ill lose the stubborn areas in my stomach and thighs. I will post pics later this year when Ive hit my goals.
