Foreign Policy Idiocy -- Jimmy Carter is at it again. Now he wants Israel and world powers to Treat with Hamas. Sit down at a table and treat them as legitimate in a role able, willing and capable of discussing, anything beyond their own sworn utilitarian goal. Kill Jewish People. There is no legitimacy in terrorism -- ever. The US Policy standard is the US Does not Negotiate with Terrorists. Hamas is a terrorist organization. Until the democrats regained the Executive Branch under Barak Husain Obama, the US policy was maintained. Here, I am not considering the war on terror. Hamas has repeatedly attacked, strived to kill, and has kill innocent civilians since their inceptions. You win nothing from a depraved, bunch of liars and killers, by talking to them. They are sworn to do what they do. The only solution to countering Hamas, is to kill them. Even the current cease-fires, have almost immediately been broken by Hamas, even the cease fire they proposed. Which is the forthright evidence that they are liars and killers. This simple fact, replete with ongoing and constant examples daily of terror by Hamas, demonstrates the idiocy that the American Left has had, and, apparently always will have in regard to dealing with international Crises. It certainly in my own mind, hearkens back to former oval office occupant Bill Clinton, but I am reminded of Adelai Stevenson, running for President in the 1950s. Another ivory tower, political, who has the same foolish constructs as are demonstrated by Jimmy Carter and Mary Robinson in this position document. Then, I look to the many examples aside from but including Islam. Woodrow Wilson, is a good one. Neville Chamberlain, Clement Attlee, Madeline Albright(war criminal who, when she came to America, used a false name, Hillary Clinton(proven liar) and most recently, John Kerry(proven liar). Indeed, the selective adherence to principle is characterized by each of the above people. Those who tout Albright, tout a woman who should have been put on trial in the Czech Republic as a war criminal, who was so deviant in the application or moral principle as to state when applying one status to one nation state, and not applying it to others(ie, Burma, vs, China, Cuba, etc), she answered, ‘We have consistent principles and flexible tactics’, or Madeleine the humanitarian: It is “not a good idea” to link human rights and trade issues. So, this is the same type of Policy as was demonstrated by Attlee and Chamberlain vis a vis Hitler, separating trade from their inhumane actions, which is the same Albright and Bill Clinton, who applied no humanitarian principles in the water obstruction of the Iraqis. ... in the case of the sanctions against Iraq it really has become genocide: hundreds of thousands of civilians have been deliberately killed through the intentional crippling of Iraqi water treatment system and the sanctions that prevent Iraq from selling enough oil to cover essential civilian need. Contrast that with her statements about the military attack on Iraqi forces, Its like shooting fish in a barrel. The same “flexible tactics” (English translation: hypocrisy) are evident in the policies embraced by Albright toward Cuba, Libya, Iraq, et al, as opposed to the policies toward Turkey, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia These people represent the ivory tower backgrounds and lack of experience they brought to their positions. All are complete utter incompetents and failures in diplomatic venues. He, along with Mary Robinson wrote a position document that can be found at: foreignpolicy/articles/2014/08/04/how_to_fix_it_jimmy_carter_mary_robinson_israel_palestine_gaza_hamas .... This tragedy results from the deliberate obstruction of a promising move toward peace in the region, when a reconciliation agreement among the Palestinian factions was announced in April. This was a major concession by Hamas, in opening Gaza to joint control under a technocratic government that did not include any Hamas members. The new government also pledged to adopt the three basic principles demanded by the Middle East Quartet comprised of the United Nations, the United States, the European Union, and Russia: nonviolence, recognition of Israel, and adherence to past agreements. Tragically, Israel rejected this opportunity for peace and has succeeded in preventing the new governments deployment in Gaza.... They also wrote: Ultimately, however, lasting peace depends on the creation of a Palestinian state next to Israel. Leaders in Israel, Palestine, and the worlds major powers should believe that policy changes are within reach that would move Israelis and Palestinians closer to a day when the skies over the Holy Land can forever fall silent. The article should be titled, How the Left proposes, Not to Fix It.
