Forgiveness Is An Act of Trust When YOU forgive a person, it - TopicsExpress

Forgiveness Is An Act of Trust When YOU forgive a person, it does not mean that GOD has forgiven them. Your granting forgiveness releases the JUDGMENT for the crimes against you from YOUR CONTROL – over to GODS CONTROL. Forgiveness means you TRUST GOD completely to judge and bring justice on your behalf. Forgiveness is an act of TRUSTING GOD and releases you to move on from VICTIMIZATION and into healing. How can you find the strength or words to forgive? Take baby steps. A good place to start is to simply pray verbally and bring up the name of the person who hurt you. Confess to God that you are struggling to forgive that person. Let God know that you understand that He loves you and that God hates the crimes that were done against you. Confess that even if part of you may not be able to fully grasp forgiveness, you are trusting God to honor this baby step, TRUSTING HIM to take vengeance for you, and TRUSTING JESUS to help you grow in your ability to forgive. Ask God to begin to pull out any bitterness, judgment, and desire for vengeance from your heart and mind as you verbally turn this over to God and that you TRUST GOD to bring true justice on your behalf. Don’t give up if you don’t feel “forgiving” or feel any difference during the baby steps. However, keep on praying this baby step over each person who has hurt you. Keep trying and trusting in God. Never give up on healing. Never give up on you. Never give up on God.
