Format and Rules for Challenge Individuals KO Competition: Friday 14th March 2014 Registration : 7pm Starts 7.30pm Straight knockout –World rules best of 9 upto Semi final’s, best 11 Semi’s and Final Price £10 per entry Team Competition: Sat and Sun 15th and 16th March £1000 sponsorship contribution by JJ’s Pool hall (based on 32 entries) Registration :10am Price £50 per team Starts Saturday (group stages) 11am prompt Format Saturday 15thMarch: • Minimum 7 players must be present and names must be provided at Saturday Registration 10am • National Pool dress code applies-Black trousers, black shoes and collared shirt • Upto 10 players can be Registered per team • League split into 8 sets of 4 teams(based on 32 entries) • Round robin qualifier will commence within 4 team group ,top 2 qualify for KO stages. • Match format will be 7 straight single games followed by 3 Scotch double games, then another 7 singles and 3 Scotch doubles(based on home and away format). • Players can only play a maximum of 2 Scotch doubles per game and 2 singles. • 1 point per match won(20 points per match in qualifiers ) • Two teams with most points go through to KO stages • Any team on joint points will decide on 8 ball shoot out, 7 players take a turn to pot the black off the spot. If at the shoot out it’s still a draw then sudden death rule applies. Format Sunday 16th March: • Pre format knockout commences with the top two of each group in Knockout stages • Straight knockout • Knockout stages same format as league format with exception that if a game is drawn 10:10 then a final scotch double decider must be played.
