★★★ Former Arsenal man Stewart Robson slags off Mesut Ozil’s work rate on ESPN ★★★ When Stewart Robson was a summariser for Arsenal TV, Arsenal fans put together a petition asking him to be removed, such was his consistent anger targeted towards Arsene Wenger. Now a pundit with ESPN, Robson has issued another brutal assessment of the Gunners on Tuesday night as the talking-head slammed Mesut Ozil’s work rate this season. Asked to evaluate the impact Ozil has made at the Emirates since arriving from Real Madrid in the summer, Robson, who played 150 games for the Gunners between 1981–1986, only offered the German international a B grade before going off on a harsh analysis of the #11. Robson farted: In recent weeks [Ozil] has been the worst midfield player for Arsenal. Other players have done much better, been more effective than him… I think the Arsenal crowd are suggesting his work rate hasn’t been particularly good. He has a problem. When he’s out on the left hand side, when the opposition’s right back starts to get forward, [Ozil] doesn’t want to go back. That means one of the [Arsenal] midfield players has to go [out of position] to defend out there. Ozil’s had a good season. Don’t get me wrong. But he hasn’t been the outstanding player for Arsenal. ♛♛♛ Simply WTH Stuff ♛♛♛
