What to do when you get those PB&J cravings but run out of jam...make your own chia seed jam! Try this on your toast with almond butter this weekend. SUGAR FREE CHERRY-CHIA JAM vonnix The chia seeds add extra fibre and healthy fats to it, all while thickening the jam without adding any thickeners. INGREDIENTS 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted 3 tbsp Natvia, or coconut sugar 1 tbsp chia seeds * 2 tbsp water INSTRUCTIONS Add cherries, Natvia and water to a small saucepan. Over low heat, allow mixture to cook for approximately 10 minutes, or until the cherries have broken down. Make sure you give it a stir every minute or so to ensure nothing sticks to the bottom! Stir in chia seeds and continue to cook for a few more minutes - the mixture should thicken and start to have a more jam-like consistency. Once thickened, remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Transfer to an airtight jar and store in fridge.
