Former talk show host and political activist Edwardo Lynch passed away yesterday morning at the Garden of Eden Nursing Home. The announcement was made yesterday morning by President of the New Democratic Party the Hon. Arhnim Eustace on the Newtimes Program. Mr. Eustace said the New Democratic Party owe a great debt of gratitude to Mr. Lynch who was a transforming figure to the party and who took his work seriously in orchestrating the Newtimes Programme before he was struck with his illness. Mr. Eustace stated that he was a man that understood and could give a message and a man who made his contribution to the development of the people in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He added that the entire NDP family will thoroughly miss Lynch who was a major voice of the party. Mr. Lynch hosted the Newtimes Program from 2001 up to his illness in 2012. Meanwhile Vincentians at home and abroad used the Newtimes Program yesterday to extend sympathy to the family of the late E.G Lynch, while paying tribute to him for the contribution he made over the years on the Newtimes program. A number of callers mentioned that he played a bigger role than many who are celebrated as excellence. Others noted that he was a striking blow for democracy and a champion for the poor and the voiceless and for what is good for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
