Found this on tumblr... So tired of this type of bullying we get, being considered, normal... :( People say that vegans are rude about nonvegan food but yesterday I was at a barbeque where people spent a good twenty minutes calling my food disgusting and I know for a fact that if I had said that about theirs—or even just shared basic facts about factory farming—I would have been considered a rude and ungrateful guest. A vegetarian friend shared a similar story about being out with a friend, and all it took was her saying she didn’t eat ice cream for her friend to launch into a tirade about how stupid and useless it is to be veg and how my friend’s actions were pointless in the long run. Again—if my friend had mentioned the cruelty inherent in dairy or how terrible it is for people, there is a 100% chance her friend would have thrown a crybaby shitfit. Getting pretty sick of nonvegans claiming to be bullied when we point out that what they’re eating was an animal that endured terrible suffering, but thinking they’re being clever and funny when they take a bite of a veggie hotdog and then pretend to barf. ~ anogoodrabblerouser
