Four OMCG members charged following police pursuit-Liverpool Police attached to the Liverpool Local Area Command have arrested and charged four Outlaw Motorcycle Gang members after police allegedly stopped them in a stolen car at Liverpool. About 9.10pm, Thursday 17 October, 2013, police attached to the Liverpool Proactive Team noticed a Holden SS Commodore station wagon commit a minor traffic offence and stopped the car in Bathurst Street. As police approached the car the driver and passenger ran from the vehicle. The passenger was arrested a short time later, however the driver was able to evade police and was seen to get into a waiting Holden parked a short distance away. During the chase police allege they saw the driver discard a number of items. Police later retrieved a .38 pistol and a pair of black gloves. Police broadcast a description of the car the man was seen to enter and it was sighted and stopped by police in nearby Bigge Street. The man again fled where police commenced a short foot pursuit before he was arrested. Police will allege the man was wearing a ballistic vest and in possession of .38 calibre ammunition at the time he was arrested. Police confirmed the Holden SS Commodore was stolen. The four men were taken to Liverpool Police Station. The driver was then conveyed to Liverpool Hospital where he was treated for a medical complaint and later returned to the police station. The four men were then charged with the following offences. • A 25-year-old Campsie man was charged with drive conveyance without consent, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, possess prohibited weapon, possess loaded firearm in a public place, possess unregistered firearm and possess ammunition. • A 27-year-old Liverpool man was charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence and be carried in a conveyance. • The third man, a 30-year-old from Prestons, was charged with accessory after the fact to being armed with intent to commit indictable offence. • The fourth man, a 34-year-old from Hurlstone Park, was charged with accessory after the fact to being armed with intent to commit indictable offence. All men were refused bail and are expected to appear in Liverpool Local Court today.
