WISDOM FOR THE DAY 27/10/2014 THE BELIEVERS FIGHT Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life .... 1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV) We are told to fight the good fight of faith, we were not told to fight the devil. Can you still remember what you are to do to the devil? You are to resist him steadfast in faith 1Pet. 5:8-9, Jas 4:7. The reason why you should resist the devil and not to fight him is because Jesus Christ had fought and defeated him over 2000 years ago Col.2:15, and Jesus made a show of devils defeat openly. The fight the believer is engaged in is the fight of faith and that is where you release patience. What is the fight of faith? It is the fight for the word that God gave you, the promises of God. God has released His word but the devil has come to steal the word, to make it a lie, so I have to say I believe the word. My body is paining me but I believe the word of healing, my meal barrel is empty but I believe the word of God that He supplies all my needs. The husband is not coming, my children are rebellious, my husband is not treating me well, things are turning upside down and I dont even know which way to turn but I have prayed and I am standing on the word of God. That is the fight of faith. 1Tim. 1:18, take the word of God and with it war a good warfare. You must take a quality decision to believe the word and stand on it, even when it does not make sense; that is faith and that is why the bible says that the just shall live by his faith Gal.3:11. Let me tell you that it will be very hard to live in the days we are in and in the coming days if you dont know how to function by faith, if you dont know how to stand your ground. As a child of God, you must put on the whole amour of God and resist the devil until he backs off. The devil knows that your victory is guaranteed only when you stand on the word, so he will try everything he can think of to distract you, make you throw up your hands and say it is not working. But I challenge you today not to give up. The night is always darkest just before the break of dawn. Your miracle is right round the corner, dont give up. You are a winner all the time!
