Fq: My son is 3. I knew he had the croup. While at his visitation for his father, his fathers mother took him to the doctor. The doctor said hes got croup and a sinus infection. They gave him steroids and antibiotics to take. In the country, theyre trying to not give out antibiotics for everything because antibiotics are starting to become useless against certain illnesses. I wasnt called or contacted that my son was sick until I picked him up an hour ago. My question is should I continue to give him antibiotics? I dont want to, because I dont think he needs them. Not for a sinus infection. Thats why weve got white blood cells, to fight infections. They take him to the doctor for EVERYTHING. And another question for any Tennessee ladies, can I, as the primary residential parent, remove his grandmother from there list of people allowed to take him to the doctors? Or at least make it so they have to call me if she takes him in? Any advice would be much appreciated.
