Fq Please post. Maybe kind of long. Im sorry. I have a 3 year old son who can be sweet as pie but turn into the devil in the blink of an eye. Without warning or reason. When hes nice, hes very nice! When hes bad hes very bad. Screams, cries, very bad tantrums, talks back no matter how much you warn him. Things like I dont care, get it now, I said yes, or I said no, theres a lot more I just cant think of all of it right now. He grinds his teeth together while growling these things with his hands on his hips. Very mad!! Or yelling them. He also throws a fit & screams & cries if you dont let him turn off the light switch or close a door. Every night he has to have the same 4 blankies, his chocolate milk & juice cups, & a toy to go to bed. He has to lay on me to fall asleep & the blankies have to go the same way every night, the cups have to sit a certain way, & whatever toy he brings with him has to lay up by his head. Every night I pat his butt to fall asleep. Every night he when I start he will say get off me, make a flying noise then say ok get back in me. (To pat his butt again) until he falls asleep. Theres certain things he HAS to do or he will cry if he doesnt do them. It really bothers him. Like being able to close the door or turn off the light. He will literally run in front of you & trip you (not on purpose) to get to it before you so he can do it. I guess my question is, is this a phase some go through? (My oldest didnt) or do any of you think it could be some type of OCD or anything else? Does anyone else have or had a child this age that did these things? Thank you. Please no bashing.
