France fume over World Cup play-off seeding system Didier Deschamps side are almost guaranteed to be unseeded because of fewer ranking points picked up than other play-off teams but they believe that is unfair France are to launch a complaint to Fifa over the World Cup play-off seeding system as they believe the country is at a disadvantage. Didier Deschamps men are second in Group I and are almost certain to finish in the play-offs, with world and European champions Spain only needing a point to secure top spot against Georgia on Tuesday. And with only five teams in their group instead of six - which every other qualifying group has - they believe they have had less chance of gaining ranking points with fewer games played; the result of which means they will not be seeded and will face a bigger nation when the draw is made in November. Were going to contact Fifa, the French Federations president Noel Le Graet told the radio station RMC. There is a little injustice between the group of five and the groups of six. Our rivals from other groups have been able to score more points... Thats a fact. France face Finland on Tuesday in their final qualifier.
