Frances Ortiz Says Hi, my son is 4 and he is supposed to start kindergarten next semester. I when to register and meet the teacher in these days. To my surprise, when she sat with me, she explained that the school was not equipped for kids with autism. There are no assists for the children nor for her. Today I have visited over 5 schools and the one that r equipped are full and the other are not fit. I visited the department of education and they explained that approving an assistant takes time. (More than a year). Im look to move to the states. I live in Puerto Rico but I need help! In finding help for my son. If I move it would be to Kissimmee or Miami. In these areas what help is there??? Please shed some light in this quest. Thanks
