Frederick Bolio November 01, 1935 - June 30, 2013 East Moline, Illinois Visitation: 3:00-6:00pm Sunday July 07, 2013 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island Funeral Service: 10:00am Monday July 08, 2013 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island Interment: , at National Cemetery, Rock Island Frederick G. Bolio, 77, of East Moline, passed away Sunday June 30, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday July 8, 2013 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to the family. Frederick was born on November 1, 1935 in Westfield, Mass., the son of Edward William and Lillian May (Hill) Bolio. He married Nina Rush. He later married Judith G. Gibson on November 7, 1987. Frederick was a United States Marine Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War Era. Mr. Bolio had been employed as an electrician at the former Case plant, Rock Island. He later worked for Savage Arms in Westfield, Mass until 1994 when they returned the Quad Cities. Since his return he had been employed by William and Wright, Silvis Rail Yards and Lowes. Frederick was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 669, where he served as President for many years, VFW 2156 and 8890, where he had served as 8th District Junior Vice President and Commander, Moline American Legion Post 246, Marine Corps League with the Illowa and Lincoln detachments, Disabled Veterans of America, the Korean War Veterans and MAVA. Survivors include his wife, Judith; children and spouses, Sandra (Dennis) Holmes, Haines City, FL., Robert (Stacy) Bolio, Davenport, William (Michelle) Bolio, Silvis, Thomas Bolio, East Moline, Michael Stout, Moline, Carrie Stout-McCoy, Mt. Carmel, IL; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and sister, Louise Buckitis, Westfield, Mass. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Frederick “Freddie” Bolio, Jr., Edward “Eddie” Bolio; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
