Free Cataract Surgery & Eye check up Camp •••••••••••••••••••••☆☆☆☆☆••••••••••••••••••••••• Just a day before xmas on 24 Dec, 2014, Sevakunj got an opportunity to gift better health to needy. Sevakunj has organised a noble event of Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Operation Camp at Shertha Village. This was an another big steps for us to contribute in health awareness along with education and Swachhta Abhiyan. There was an unbelievable response from the residents of the village. Around 285 number of eye patients has registered and attended the camp to get the benefit which usually they are avoiding due to many reasons like distance, transportation, lack of time and most importantly lack of financial capacity. Prime reason of avoiding such check-up is uttered unawareness about eye diseases and complications too. Out of them around 165 patients has availed spectacles only in INR 65/-. Around 35 needy and poor patients got successfully operated for cataract operation. We are greatly thankful to Lions karnavati shantaben Vishnubhai eye hospital, the eye specialists and doctors to make this possible and successful. This was an indeed xmas gift to villagers. This was purely a different experience for Sevakunj Team and at the end of the day we found ourselves privileged as we have extended our hand and capacity to serve needy and poor people of society. Real satisfaction lies in converting weak people to strong and capable. This is one of the commandment as a human we should adhere to build a better and strong society.
