Event: Parent Transition Workshop Date: Thursday 28th November 2013 Place: Redcliffe Rooms, Hilton Bristol, Woodlands Lane, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 4JF Times: Arrival from 9am for a 9:50am start. The workshop will finish by 2:45pm. The transition workshop is aimed largely at parents with a son or daughter who is on the autistic spectrum and/or with a learning disability, and looking ahead to a period of transition from school to either employment or further education within the next 3 years. On the day, a panel of speakers will present timely and impartial information and advice relating to different elements of the transition process and post-16 options generally. This will be our 4th free annual transition event, and the workshops that we have previously hosted in Cardiff have become a popular annual fixture. Last year demand for seats was great as we welcomed 90 guests - much of which was thanks to our colleagues in schools, support groups and local organisations, for distributing the information to parents as well as word-of-mouth. This will be the first time we have hosted such an event in Bristol and we are very much looking forward to meeting both parents and professionals there.
