Free workshops at the OCA National Convention in LA! OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates and OCA – Greater Los Angeles invite you to join us at our 2014 OCA National Convention at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel from August 7- 10, 2014. OCA’s National Convention is one of the preeminent annual events for the APA community, drawing over a thousand people from around the country for educational, cultural, and networking events. As part of Convention, were offering FREE Youth and College Leadership Summits and hope you can join! COLLEGE TRACK OCA has provided over 1,000 college students over the last 15 years with the opportunity to share experiences, mobilize around APA issues and campaigns, work with the community, and discover the ever-changing role of APA students in multi-ethnic settings through the APIA U: Leadership Training; a workshop series that provides a platform for the development of the individual, student organizations and the broader community. College Leadership Training | August 7 OCA will provide student leaders the opportunity to experience a version of APIA-U training through the College Leadership Training. The annual College Leadership Training is a full day program that engages student leaders from colleges across the country with an opportunity to come together to discuss issues and create a national agenda relevant to APA college students. This program provides students with the strategies and tools to strengthen the APA movement on college campuses. College Day | August 8 OCA’s College Day provides a full day of workshops, centering on issues affecting APA college students.
