Friday 15th August 2014 Psalm 33:20 - We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. Ive discovered that I am a short phrase fanatic. I love the simplicity of a short sentence that gives a succinct message of what to do. Its clear and to the point. You cannot misunderstand it or overlook its meaning. Thats how I feel about Psalm 33:20. Firstly, we wait for the Lord! So often we find ourselves waiting for a thousand other things. Stop. Wait in hope for the LORD. Why? Because HE is our Help and our Shield. If you have a challenging task or set of circumstances ahead, dont do another thing towards them until you have stopped and waited for the Lord. He is your Help – He will give you the direction you need. He is your Shield. He will protect you from things going wrong. My Five Word Foundation: God is my only Guarantee.
