Friday, 18 July marks international Mandela Day. How will you spend your 67 minutes? INVITATION for Mandela Day Last year on July the 18th 2013 we celebrated Mandela Day by giving people living with disabilities love and expressing how we feel about them and that we are all one regardless of any conditions. This year on the 18th of July 2014, we look forward to having people living with HIV and AIDS, diabetes, high pressure and other long-term illnesses. The reason for this Mandela Day will be about showing the above mentioned people living with different illness and/or virus that living is positive for those who positively positive towards it, inspiring them with tools on how to bounce back from any challenges on life, helping them know that they are not alone and encouraging a happy life and healthy lifestyle. Food hampers will be given on that day and motivations will be given by individuals living with mentioned health conditions, possibly information will be provided by well-trained doctor/s and other specialist in the medical field. Let us show support to vulnerable community individuals and their families by showing a sense of belonging than isolating them from us while we are all human beings and created by God. Developing a sense of belonging, generosity, mastery and independence amongst the community is our priority and by doing so no one will see the other different from others. How we treat others is how they probably will remain based on our treatment to them, building a good relationship will change our perspectives towards others and a good relationship is through a good communication and understanding. We would like to cook lunch for them which includes healthy food (fruits, vegetables,) and drinks, therefore we kindly urge the concerned company and/or business for financial support or food to help in making their lunch a healthy one and also giveaway food hampers and blankets and gifts to remember the day with. We are expecting 100 people on this event and would appreciate, on their behalf, any help you can possibly assist with. Together we can change and help the community to be better. Date: 18 July 2014 Venue: Bathos Place For more information please do not hesitate to contact me. David Molorane - 0820908660 - bathotours@gmail
