You will be asked to sign in, and if you have not paid your dues it may be collected at that time. ***Saturday, August 10,2013 from noon to 6pm.; We will meet at the Edison Johnson Recreational Center, 500 West Ave Durham, N.C. 27704 in the gymnasium at noon and you may pay your dues at that time. We will then group up to visit a choice of two places of interest or remain at the center and enjoy activities there. We will all meet back at the gymnasium where we will have lunch starting at 2:30 pm until. This location has lots of things to do, including swimming, and most activities are located in covered areas. The pool is 4 feet deep at its shallow end but may be as deep 8 feet. You need to know how to swim or remain in the shallow end. For water lovers who are not swimmers may enjoy the water spray area located at the center. Located nearby are two places of interest 1. The Museum of Life and Science, 433 West Murray Avenue, Durham, NC27704. Group Admission Charges are: $8.00 per person, which means we need a person count for reservations. Optional Additional Costs are $3.00 per person for the train ride and $5.00 for the Bungee Ride. If you are a member of the Museum you can go with the group at no cost. We will have a guide person. 2. Sarah P. Duke Garden, located at Anderson Street & Ervin Road, Dunham, NC. Hours of Operation: 9- 5pm. Admission is Free. We will have a guide person and at least one van for those who may need a ride. ***Sunday August 11,2013, we invite all of our families to attend the Sunday church services from llam to lpm at: Ilong Baptist Church 4043 Fairport Road [off Hwy 96 in Oxford) Kittrell, NC Phone: 919-693-6441 Immediately after church services we will gather and enjoy dinner in Ilong Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and Grounds.
