Friend, Its 2014. Its been almost 100 years since women earned the right to vote, and 51 since the Equal Pay Act passed, but women who work full-time are STILL getting paid an average of 77% of what men earn. We should be ashamed -- and we need to do something about it. Thats why my Democratic colleagues and I are once again bringing the Paycheck Fairness Act to a vote in the Senate tomorrow. I thought about including some of the statistics I used in my speech on the Senate floor in this email to you. But the more I think about it, if you dont believe in fairness, Im not sure that rattling off a bunch of numbers is going to change your mind.
