Friend and collegue asked about cake or flowers for someone we work with but not DHB whos brother had recently passed. Said she could take either it wouldnt be a problem, I was taking a sympathy card. When I got to where the person works, she showed me the sympathy card the friend had given her and said how thoughtful and lovely she was. I couldnt then give mine as it would look like I was just doing it to look good like my friend. I just smiled and agreed as to how wonderful and thoughtful the other person was.
