Friends, I think is as obvious as was Dick Cheney’s involvement and connection to Halliburton is Pat McCrory’s involvement and connection to Duke Energy. It is also obvious by his own actions that he support only large corporate interests and not the people of North Carolina. Duke Energy made $9B in profits last year, and paid NO federal taxes. Paid a measly $3M in state taxes. Now here is the rub and one of the most disgusting parts, Duke Energy received from the state a $300M in rebates...so essentially they paid NO state taxes as well, in fact they made $297M of state rebates on top of the $9B. My God this is obscene. Sickening. Friends, the Governor is an elected official, and even though the state is gerrymandered to the hilt to favor Governor McCroy and his cronies, that is not the final word. You the voter have the final word. If you want to continue on the road North Carolina is on, if you are ok with the lies and cronyism, If you’re ok with polluting the beautiful North Carolina countryside and coastline, if you’re ok with drilling off the coast of North Carolina, if you’re ok with destroying North Carolina’s Public Education System, disenfranchising and driving out the teachers in North Carolina, if you’re ok with trampling voter’s rights. If you’re ok with all that then by all means re-elect Pat McCrory. But if you’re not ok with the direction we’re going....then get on board with the “Kick The Bums” club. Please share this with your friends and family. In 2014 Get out and Vote. Don’t let Pat McCrory steal your rights to get rid of him, don’t let him wear you down.
