Friends, Some amazing news today as a result of our LGBT Mormons, Families & Friends conference in Mexico City in early February. An attendee who had recently learned about the Church before the conference but didnt see how he could be gay and Mormon was baptized today with the Bishop, Mission President, the missionaries and some members all knowing he is gay. He attended the testimony meeting we held at the Temple Visitor Center and did the tour of the visitor center with others after and there received a Book of Mormon from the sister missionaries and gave him his address. It has been about 6 weeks since then. He sent me his journal from these past 2 months and it is amazing how the Lord works! In his words: Estoy muy feliz. Im very happy. I realize that some would say, why would a gay man want to join a Church that has been so hard on gays? Well, the answer is because of people like all of you who are making Zion what it is meant to be! THANK YOU!!!
