Friends and citizens of Central, I am so very pleased at the outpouring of assistance offered. When you think of a Police Department you think of marked police cars and uniforms but there is so much more. Movies and television do not show the real story. Boring report writing is not shown on TV. A dispatcher is shown only in the excitement of a thrilling call, not for hours of routine calls. Data collection is not exciting, but needed to track crime. Some activities may seem boring but anyone can take pride for doing it because it is so critical to a functioning Police Department. The boring work makes the tactical planning for directed patrols work! Results can be posted to allow our citizens to know what is happening in their neighborhoods. The point I am getting to is that people have already come to me and said they want to help, to be a part of something, to better their city through their actions, FREE OF CHARGE! I know we can do this together! My opponent has stated he wants to immediately HIRE a full time Assistant Chief and a part time Administrative Assistant to help him. I know what I am doing and I will not need an Administrative Assistant! I also will not need the rank structure that is currently in place within the Central Police Department, especially a PAID Assistant Chief. I will not spend money for any personnel positions that take money away from paying for active CRIMINAL INTERDICTION patrols in our city. For fiscally responsible spending, with a priority on safety for you, and NOT growing larger government with administrative expense, VOTE KERRY CLARK FOR CHIEF OF POLICE!
