Friends and family, Though it could have been better, todays visit with the Doctors sounds promising. We are going to take the next 2-3 weeks getting me stronger and over the side effects of the surgery. Then we will start chemo therapy treatments five days a month. We will also wear a device that causes future cancer cells to divide early and die. The chemo and the device will add time before they reoccur. But yes, they will reoccur. We will just be able to spread them out plus we will be able to control with medicine and not have to have more surgeries. So, the downside is the ependymoma will return but the upside is it will be longer before it does. On a positive note, I have lost 14 pounds since the surgery. I could stand to lose quite a few more. The journey continues as I go back next Wednesday for a follow up appointment. We appreciate your continued support and prayers. God is good and in control.
