Friends, to all that will, please continue to pray for my father, Joe. Heres my update: He is 65 and battling liver and kidney failure, as well as internal bleeding. This is round 2 of being hospitalized in 2 weeks. Drs believe as of today, the bleeding has somewhat stopped. His ammonia levels went from 203 to 40 with two treatments of dialysis. He is currently dialysis-dependent....meaning he is not producing any urine when he is not on dialysis..so this is not good. The liver/kidney Dr is perplexed b/c his tests and #s are only slightly abnormal ... he just says we have to wait bc there are multiple factors/issues going on with him. In addition, he is mentally not stable/conscious - completely out of it, does NOT know that I am here, or anyone. Having said that he is feisty and strong as hell.....moving, kicking and cursing (yes, cursing:). My mom is the strongest person I know, at his side daily, 47 years later. Say a prayer.
