Frog Legs Anyone? Lately it has become more and more apparent to me that we are all victims of the subtle subterfuge of internet news services which twist and distort the truth. A pack of lies on a digital cracker seems to be the menu special every day at the internet or more specifically the Facebook feeding trough. I mean even if you dont use Facebook the chances are you are hooked up to one or several of the social web sites. There we find daily a constant barrage of political sewage which consists mainly of derogatory comments or collections of past mistakes, misspeaks or other faux pas that an opposing force wishes to use to their advantage in the upcoming mid term elections. The smokescreen of daily punditry is an affront to anyone with a sense of order and decency. As the country and the world spiral into a calamitous tailspin the powers that be are more concerned with reelection rather than just doing the job in front of them. Our government is full of blame shifting crybabies that dont even know who they work for. And compound that with a president that claims to not have foreknowledge of so many, many things that a executive in chief should know immediately. And the minority party seems stuck in a bad dream where they are a blues band that mistakenly booked a country music venue. They just put up the chicken wire and sing the same old song as the beer bottles are hurled their direction. Gridlock does not even begin to describe this. To say we are the frog in the kettle is an understatement. We now overlook ideas and ways of life that would have made us shudder in former times. We have accepted the fact that some places in all cities are pretty much avoided by law enforcement because of the high volume of guns in the area. We have somehow fallen into the corporate mystique with the promise of a better tomorrow through endless profiteering on the basic necessities of life. We live on a flat screen universe. Im goin fishin. Screw this shit.
