From 1-5 July, IIEP will be hosting a Summer School under the theme of ‘Education strategies for a fast-changing world: The role of educational planning and management’. This course is designed for education policy makers and planners from various countries around the world. A major session held during this event will be on Friday 5th July, called ‘Shaping an educational strategy for youth’, with a presentation by Juan Manuel Moreno, from the World Bank. The session will focus on the failure of education systems to respond to the expectations of youth, in particular in terms of the relationship between education and the labour market. It will also discuss how to reform education systems so they are better aligned with present employment patterns.
