From 21 Lessons of Merlyn Chapter 9: The Challenge It had been one year since my first adventure on Newais (New Ways) Mountain, and a busy one for my apprenticeship. Merlyn came and went in his typically unpredictable manner, which made regular lessons difficult. But nevertheless, I managed to learn a great deal about the Druids and their Magic. Not only was I studying with Merlyn, but also back home with Brother Victor (Victory of the People), under who tutelage I quickly mastered numbers and letters, the best of both worlds, I supposed.
