From Bro. Morris Cerullo: Dont Relax Every covenant promise - TopicsExpress

From Bro. Morris Cerullo: Dont Relax Every covenant promise God has made to us is true and forever sealed with the blood of Jesus. His Word cannot lie. Gods covenant promises are not dependent upon our faith. Regardless of whether or not we have faith to believe His promises, they are true. When we allow our minds to be filled with worry and doubt, however, we cannot release our faith and, although Gods promises are true, they do not produce the results we need because they are not mixed with faith. This is one of the major reasons why so many Christians are not seeing a manifestation and fulfillment of Gods covenant promises in their lives. Gods Word in our mouths today is just as powerful as it was when He spoke the world into existence. However, we can confess the Word until we are blue in the face, but it will not be effective in our lives until we speak it in unwavering faith, believing whatever we speak will be done. Satans strategy is also to wear us down physically, mentally, and spiritually until we become weary and faint in our minds. His objective is to cause us to become so tired of our circumstances that we are ready to give up. Christians today are living defeated lives not because the circumstances they face are too difficult, but because they become weary and faint in their minds. Paul warned the believers who were becoming weary and discouraged due to the opposition and persecution they were facing. He told them: …let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author a finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (Hebrews 12:1-3) The Greek word for “faint” means “to unloose; to relax and so, to make weak.” Satan wants to weaken us. He wants us to become so overwhelmed by our circumstances that we faint — relax in our minds — so we will stop resisting his attacks, stop casting out doubt and unbelief, stop believing Gods covenant promises, and stop releasing our faith. It is one thing to become physically weary and drained of our energy. But the real danger is when we become weary and faint — relax and stop resisting Satans attacks — in our minds. Make this declaration: “ I will not grow weary. I will not faint in my mind. I will not relax and stop resisting Satans attacks. ”
