From Canada: “Disability rights activists and other people ... worry about the way in which technology can have a corrosive impact on our notion of humanness and valuing humanness in all its forms,” said Mary Anne Bobinski, dean of the faculty of law at the University of B.C. “It’s not unproblematic, there are people who object to the use of screening for Down syndrome.” Whilst we do not oppose screening for life affirming care, we certainly oppose its use for prenatal discrimination.
