From Commissioner Frank Tambunga - At around 3:45 p.m we were able to close the shelter. We had 94 travelers that used the shelter. They all left to their destinations or moved to motels as they became available, may God be with them in their journey. I want to thank everyone that assisted in some way. When such events take place Ozonans comes together and all travelers expressed their gratitude for the assistance and friendly hospitality. So many helped out and I am thankful for their help. A special Thanks to all who donated food or drinks. Also to a special thanks to our Emergency responders, our County Road Department, our County civic center staff, our Sheriff Department, Fire Department, our local businesses Stripes on Ave E, Sonics, and all individuals that brought food so many too mention all. I apologize if I failed to recognize someone but your participation was appreciated. Although we made it through this round we still have bad weather pending so we might need to do this again. Until then hope everyone gets some much needed rest and stays warm. God Bless You all !
