From Director Secondary Education, Haryana, Panchkula. To All District Education Officers, Haryana. Memo No.: 19/13-2014 SE(4) Dated: 18-4-2014 Subject:- Coaching for IIT JEE for students studying in Haryana Government Schools have appeared in Matriculation examination in March 2014. The Department of School Education, Government of Haryana has decided, in principal, to impart coaching for IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for the students studying in Haryana Government Schools and are interested in appearing in the said competitive examination. The said coaching shall be imparted free of cost and will be provided in Government Senior Secondary School, Jaicobpura/ Chakkarpur, District Gurgaon (to be finalized later on). The students, who have appeared in matriculation examination in March 2014, shall be eligible to appear for the admission test scheduled to be held on 25 May, 2014 (Sunday) at 10:30 AM. Further, the said admission test shall be conducted at centres located at Ambala, Gurgaon, Rohtak and Hissar. It is specific to mention here that 50 students shall be selected on merit on the basis of admission test, as enunciated above. Admission test will be of three hours duration and will cover the subjects of Mathematics (Class IX and X syllabus) and basic English only. Further, there will be negative marking and one fourth mark(s) shall be deducted for each wrong answer. Students, who are desirous of availing of this opportunity, will have to apply on a prescribed format to Director, State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT), Opposite PanchayatBhawan, Sohna Road, Gurgaon, latest by 17.05.2014. Application format (copy enclosed) can also be downloaded from the website of School Education Department i.e. v\. w.scliooteducationhawna.gov.in. Selected students will have to take admissions in 11th Class in the designated Government Senior Secondary Schools located in Gurgaon City and will have to study in the same school during the period of coaching of 2 years i.e. academic session 2014-16. Classes will start from July, 2014. Boarding, lodging and travel arrangements during these two years, shall have to be made by the students themselves, at their own level, and Government will not be responsible for the same. In the light of above, wide publicity be made in your district by way of putting notices in all the Government Schools and further ensuring that each students studying in Government Schools, who have appeared in Matriculation examination in March 2014 is well aware of this initiative of the department to provide free coaching to the students who intend appearing in IIT JEE 2016.
