From DoubleBack Band: I need to update everyone regarding Reg. Reg has decided to stop performing due to his illness. We have talked at great length and respect his decision. We will (and have) started the search to fill his spot in the band and hope to find someone who will be able to fill the tall order he has made in this band. He will always be a member of this band and he has also offered his help in finding a replacement. (Thank you buddy!) Now an update on Reg, he is currently resting and recovering at St. Petes in Olympia after a rough weekend. His illness is progressing very rapidly now in spite of all the efforts to combat this disease and is now affecting his abilities to talk, walk, see, and is continuing to get worse. The prognosis is poor; however, we all did not anticipate it was going to be this fast. In the next few days he will be moved into a care facility (yet to be determined) where there will be someone around him 24/7 to help him with daily needs and pain management. We do not expect him to go back home as yet. We have entered him into the Hospice program and they are a wonderful help and outstanding organization. Reg has asked if everyone please give him a couple days to get a bit stronger and then he would love to hear from all of you. His cell phone is with me currently and Ill take it to him when asks me to. Until then, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and he is still so humbled and appreciative of all of the help and concern he has received over the past year. He never really appreciated how many of us really care for him and he is truly overcome with emotion every time him and I talk about that! From Reg (and from all of us in the band) thank you all for your support and I will keep you updated as needed.
