From ECSO: The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Traffic - TopicsExpress

From ECSO: The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit will be hosting two more Georgia Teens Ride with Pride course on Saturday October 5th , 2013 at the Effingham County Courthouse. The first class will be from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. with the second at 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. This course has been in very high demand since ECSO began hosting it this past year. The cut off for registration is September 24th, 2013. This is a FREE, two-hour course designed to help parents and their new teen drivers, ages 14-16, learn what they need to do during the 40 hours of supervised practice driving time. This is a program that addresses driver attitude, knowledge, and behavior, rather than a technical hands-on driver training course. Teens and Parents must register to attend. While completion of this course may reduce insurance rates, it does not count toward the required 40 hours of supervised driving practice. The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is one of a few agencies in the State of Georgia who have deputies who are certified instructors that can host Georgia Teens Ride with Pride course. This course is also hosted and sponsored by the University of Georgia. Register by contacting Deputy Sheriff Mike Kendricks at 912-754-3449 or [email protected]. ( e mail requests are preferred) For more information on the course please visit extension.caes.uga.edu/gtipi/templates/classes.htm#class
