From Georgetown College Communications Director Jim Allison: The campus was placed on lockdown for approximately 30 minutes from 7-7:30 p.m. Thursday after two students reported being robbed at gunpoint in the LCA parking lot near the corner of Clayton Avenue and Hollyhock Lane. Neither was injured nor was there a report of a threat to any other students in the vicinity. Georgetown Police and campus security are investigating. The lockdown has now been lifted as authorized by investigating authorities. The suspect is believed to have left the area on and near the campus. The suspect is described as an African American male, late 20s, wearing a dark hoodie and a camouflage vest. Anyone seeing an individual matching this description is urged to call the Georgetown Police Department at 911 or the Colleges campus safety office 502-863-8111.
