From Howard County Public School System: Weve heard from some of you that you did not receive email or texts this morning. For both the 5 a.m. delay and 7 a.m.(ish) closing, email and text alerts were sent. With the new system we implemented in November, all parents/guardians should automatically receive email messages from the district and childs school. If you did not receive an email this morning, please check your family portal account (https://hcpss.me/fp/ ) to make sure your email address is up to date. Contact your child’s school if you cannot login or if your information isn’t correct. To comply with wireless carrier requirements, subscribers of HCPSS News need to opt in to receiving text alerts. One opt-in text message was sent to all parents in the fall of 2014.
