From James Wannerton - on behalf of the Mirror-Touch Synaesthesia Network The M-T Network is currently looking for Mirror-Touch synaesthetes to participate in an innovative and unique art theatre project. Essential to the success of this project is the input from mirror-touch synaesthetes and we will be working together with filmmaker Daria Martin, Mirror-Touch Facilitator and researcher Elinor Cleghorn (founders of the M-T Network) and theatre director Frances Rifkin. The event itself carries a unique (Forum Theatre) approach in that the m-t “spec-actors” watch a drama enacted by actors and are given the tools to alter the narrative and outcome of the story. We are very keen on planning for a first event – over one day or perhaps a weekend - sometime in October, possibly in London or Liverpool. If you are interested in becoming involved with this exciting and worthwhile event, please contact either myself : [email protected] or either Daria or Elinor directly at: dariamartin@btinternet [email protected] The Mirror-Touch Network is also interested in setting up a Mirror-Touch social / chat group with a view to possible participation and involvement in future m-t symposiums and events, so if anyone is interested in that please let us know. The Mirror-Touch Network is in the process of assembling a unique collection of first-hand mirror-touch stories and experiences. These will be published on our project website (with the participant’s agreement, of course) and will contribute directly to our ongoing research. The Mirror-Touch Network project has been granted an International Network Award by the Leverhulme Trust to work with mirror-touch synaesthesia researchers Michael Banissy and Jamie Ward. Many thanks. James Mirror-Touch Network Website: mirror-touch.co.uk/ Recent M-T event held at the Tate Modern: tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/conference/mirror-touch-synaesthesia-and-social
