I say this for your benefit in Jesus: Calvinism or reformed theology will destroy your prayer life and ability to minister as a saint of God. You may love Jesus and have personal communication with Him under that system, but youll rarely see His kingdom manifest in a situation in which youre praying, because youll not understand your authority. Its why I used to pray if it be Your will and see NOTHING happen most times. Then, the excuse theologies would start to flow. Oh, you know the mysteries of God, brother. God just chose not to save or heal that one. Maybe he meant to teach you a lesson. Jesus said and did NONE of that, and the Bible says He is the perfect representation of the Father. What He did is perfect theology, and He was VERY clear in teaching and demonstrating the Fathers will towards the issues in our lives. When I began to believe and apply Jesus teaching on our delegated authority - that Ive been made a royal Son with power and privilege to CRUSH all that is contrary to His heavenly goodness in peoples lives (sin, sickness, hopelessness, depression, fear, premature death, and more) - the fruit via my prayers skyrocketed. Im not perfected in faith or fruit yet, but going glory to glory (2 Cor 3). Much better than I was before that truth. Its not about doctrinal debates of the head. What you believe in this area can literally mean the difference between life and death! It can mean whether or not someone sees Jesus is God (1 Cor 2:4-6). It can also mean whether or not you enjoy the company of your Father or just the company of your own intellectuals thoughts about Him. Jesus wants us to believe Him, and as a by-product manifest the same fruit and even greater than He did (John 14:12, Mark 16:15-20). Its a privalege and responsibility to represent our supernatural God. Were ALL to do this. And in case you have fear this brings glory to man, let go of that misunderstanding and listen to your Lord: John 14:13 - And whatever YOU ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be GLORIFED in the Son. Luke 12:32 - For it is the Fathers good pleasure to give YOU the kingdom.
