From July 23-27, VCA Animal Hospitals is matching all online donations up to $10,000 as part of our Summer to Save Lives initiative! That means you can double your impact and help twice as many pets like Red. This lovable homeless dog fell into a canal full of water one hot summer afternoon and was swept away by the strong current. A Good Samaritan saw Red as he floated by and immediately called AHS’ Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ who came prepared with ropes and a plan. The EAMTs went ahead of Red, caught him as he floated by and then guided him to the side so they could hoist him out of the canal. The plan worked flawlessly and although Red was exhausted, he lived that day thanks to a concerned cyclist and our very own EAMTs. Now Red is enjoying life in his new forever home. When you make a gift today, your generosity will give twice as many second chances to pets like Red! • $25 will help provide one two EAMTs with life-saving supplies to help animals suffering from severe trauma. • $60 will help provide care for one two kittens to get off to a healthy start in our kitten nursery. • $100 will help find a forever home for one two animals through our mobile adoption unit, Waggin’ Wheels. • $150 will help spay or neuter one two cats and one two dogs as AHS fights the pet overpopulation crisis in our community. • $275 helps put one two dogs through behavior modification so he or she can be adopted.
