It wasn’t enough to kill the baby giraffe, Marius, but now the Copenhagen Zoo has killed two healthy lions and two healthy cubs to make room for a new male lion with different “genetics”. Please note during Jack Hannah’s interview with Piers Morgan, I understood him to say the Columbus Zoo (United States) and all affiliated zoos, will NEVER sell an animal to the Copenhagen Zoo because of their outrage over Marius. And the world also learned that the Copenhagen Zoo encouraged parents to allow their children to watch Marius’ slaughter and butchering, and then saw him fed to the lions. If the Copenhagen zoo has too many giraffes and lions, the answer is to stop breeding them. But there is the rub. It seems it’s only about profit, and the Copenhagen Zoo wants an ongoing supply of baby animals to make a higher profit on their ticket sales. I again ask that you, Mr. Prime Minister, intercede and hold Mr. Bengt Holst, Scientific Director, accountable, and have him removed from his current position of authority so he can no longer make these types of decisions. And bring in new regulations in line with the Columbus Zoo so these killings of healthy zoo animals cannot continue. If you do nothing, it’s my hope the good people of Denmark will. All they need do is stop visiting the Copenhagen Zoo. Thank you.
