YOU can ALL be very proud of your Chico State brethren today. For the 9th time in the last 18 years the Chico State Wildcats are the Champions of the Western Region. They did it with a bunch of dirtbags. They grinded. They pitched. They sported the best fielding percentage in Division II baseball and they now head to Cary, North Carolina and the D-II WORLD SERIES. If you have ever worn the Cardinal and White. If you have played for that guy next to you. If you ever laid down a bunt and knew our teammate would drive in that runner, if you took a dose, If you ever cared more for that Cats script on the front of your jersey, more than your personal numbers on a stat page. And, like myself, if you ever had to sit and be Sonomas, UC Davis and SF States biaaaatch in late 80s or early 90s. Well, today is for you !!! Celebrate, rejoice and hoist a cold one boys ! The Chico State Wildcats are the West Region Champions !!!!
