From Pastor Marvin I am sitting here in my office, thanking God for you, the people of Trinity Church. Today, we decided to dismantle the walls of service times that tend to separate us, and worshiped together as one body outside. We attempted, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to swim in the same river as the early church, being together, worshiping together, praying together and eating together. I know this weekend was a little different than what we are accustomed to, but thank you for showing up in a big way and displaying the unity and the radical hospitality of the body of Jesus. We really thank God for providing the canopy of sunshine and blue skies. It got a little warm, but the warmth was better than the rain. Lord, thank you for providing great weather for us. I thank God for all of our teams, led by Meaghan Redd. They literally thought of everything to make this worship experience a great celebration of togetherness. They cared about you so much, that they wanted you to be comfortable, hydrated, nourished. We are so grateful to God for amazing servants, who love him and love you. It was a great celebration of togetherness, and I am proud to be part of this local church called Trinity. As we make our way into the Fall season,Trinity Church, I hope we will all play a role in seeing to it that no one stands alone, aches alone, eats alone, worships alone or prays alone. Because, like peanut butter and jelly, eggs and bacon, we are BETTER TOGETHER. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
