From Pat Travers (Leixlip) Leixlip 2 hosted Maynooth 2 at 1pm in Leixlip 15/3/2014. The match referee was Shane OGrady. The game was played between the two 21 metre lines. The conditions were very windy but bright and no rain. There were two 25 min halves played. Leixlip had 22 players with two under 12s and the remainder a mix of under 11s and under 10s. Maynooth had 15 players under 11 and younger. The game was played as 15 a side with Leixlip rotating players to give all their girls a game. The game was a reasonably close affair with Maynooth benefiting from playing with the breeze in the first half and Leixlip taking advantage of the breeze in the second half. The Maynooth girls coped well against the breeze and took their scores well. Leixlip created plenty of chances in the second half and converted some nice points. The game was played at a good pace and in a good spirit with some excellent skills on display.
