From a momma: My son has been tube fed almost since birth due to heart complications. He has also always had reflux when he was newborn his bowel movements were normal but after a few months he was constantly not going for four or five days which was the norm for him, doctors always told me it was due to reflux and nothing going into his system. Anyway this year in September he had his gastrostomy and Nissen done. The reflux has obviously stopped but he is still not having regular bowel movements even whilst being on meds. So now Im worried that the problem was never reflux and Ive done the complete wrong thing with the Nissen but maybe he has a problem with his Bowels! Does it sound like he does to anybody else? Im going to speak to his paed next Tuesday but Im feeling so guilty now!
