From a stranger to another Would you help support a total - TopicsExpress

From a stranger to another Would you help support a total stranger if he asks for your help?Would you require him to pay you back knowing that the reason why he is asking for donation is the fact that he does not have enough money to begin with? Does he need to prove to you that his fundraiser is legitimate and not one that he will use for self gain or pleasure? How would you like him to prove his legitimacy to you? I am asking all these questions for the mere fact that my GiveForward fundraiser is ending soon, exactly in 5 days. I have been able to collect some donations from families, friends, and total strangers. However, I am no where close to reaching my $7000.00 goal. Please help support my fundraiser. I am married and I have a twelve year old son who I love very much. My wife and I have just celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary last August. Oh, how I wish and hope that I will be around to celebrate more wedding anniversaries with my wife, my soulmate. Unfortunately, I have had 8 major brain surgeries since the first pituitary tumor was discovered in 1998. I was a Kindergarten teacher then. However, the tumor kept returning and I kept missing a lot of work days that I was asked to retire early from my job so as to be able to focus more on recovering. Apart from the surgeries I have been going through physical, occupational, psychological, and psychiatric therapies every week. Through God’s grace I can now live each day without the constant pain that haunted me for many years before a neurosurgeon at Hoag Hospital implanted a device in my brain that somehow deters my brain cells from feeling any pain. The device is working perfectly for as long as I keep the battery implanted under the skin of my right shoulder fully charged the whole time. I am writing today to you to help support me and my family as we continue our journey with this cross I have been carrying now for more than 15 years and will continue to carry for the rest of my days. Please visit my fundraising site at GiveForward—- https://giveforward/fundraiser/r0n2/jesus-lapid-pituitary-tumor-fund Like I mentioned earlier, this fundraising site will be ending in 5 days. The only way for you to donate through this site is through Paypal. However, even after GiveForward ends my fundraiser through their site, you can still send a check, money order, or even cash directly to me—-JESUS LAPID, 6241 FERNE AVENUE, CYPRESS, CA 90630 Asking for donation from my families and friends are difficult enough for me to do. To ask total strangers for donations to someone they don’t even know is much more difficult for me to do. However, I am willing to take that risk knowing fully that me and my family cannot do this alone. Your help, regardless of the amount, would be very, very much appreciated. Thank you for your time and serious consideration in making a donation to a very worthwhile cause. I promise to include your name to my daily prayer list. I cannot repay you back, but I know that for as long as I live I will pray for you, thanking God for surrounding me with angels like you. You may copy this letter and forward it to your family and friends. Sincerely grateful from the very bottom of my heart, Jesus Lapid jesus.lapid@yahoo jesus.lapid@gmail jesuslapid@aol
