From a young age it is ingrained into us that we need to cut calories, eat less, and cut out carbs to get results from. Even the mindset of Michelle Bridges (calorie restriction), Weight watchers (calorie counting, restricting and points system) and light and easy (portion controlled but not based on individual needs) leads an unhealthy relationship with food where we base our happiness on the scales and fall down at times when emotion takes over. All of the above options may show a decrease in weight initially but slow down our metabolism, making fat loss harder and decreasing health and energy All food choices are emotional. Wouldn’t you love to be able to eat food without emotion attached and still be able to enjoy all the foods that you love, without over indulging, restricting food? I definitely enjoy training and eating, rather than dieting and exercising.
